The Marriage Course
The Marriage Course is for couples who are seeking to strengthen their relationship. Some couples do the course to intentionally invest in their relationship, others are looking to address more specific challenges. Either way, the course offers essential tools and practical ideas to help you build a relationship that lasts a lifetime.
The Pre-Marriage Course
The Pre-Marriage Course is for couples who are exploring the idea of getting married and for those who are already engaged. It’s designed for those who want to give their marriage the best possible start, whether they’re exploring marriage for the first time or have been married before.
The Marriage Courses are based on Christian principles but designed for all couples with or without a church background.
How does it work?
Eat Together
Each session begins with couples eating together. This gives guests a chance to unwind and connect before the session’s episode. It also helps to create the atmosphere of a date.
Watch an Episode
The episodes are around 45 minutes in length, with breaks for conversations. Each episode explores a different topic through real experiences, expert insights, and relevant teaching.
Talk Privately
Providing space for couples to have private, intimate conversations is a must for every course. It helps enable couples to engage openly and honestly throughout the session.

The New Film Series
We have released a brand-new, reimagined series of The Marriage Course and The Pre-Marriage Course, with new teaching content, creative short films, global stories, sofa couples, and expert insights – all hosted by Nicky & Sila Lee. These videos are available completely free. There are also updated Leaders’ Guides, Guest Journals, promotional materials, and training videos – as well as a new online platform where you can download the series and build your own Marriage or Pre-Marriage Course for your community.
The new films are designed for a modern audience. It’s now relevant more than ever to strengthen and invest in marriages and relationships. These new episodes have already proven to be highly effective ways of reaching families during the pandemic, with dozens of churches running The Marriage Course online, to support couples during this challenging time. The Marriage Course is a perfect introduction to Alpha, and is an ideal pre-evangelisation resource.
To accompany the new episodes, there are brand new Guest Journals and Leaders’ Guides that match the new format and content. The Guest Journal is now available to purchase online. There are new training videos designed to help you and your team run the best Marriage Course possible. These videos cover everything from how to build your team to finding the best background music.
